Quality kitchen floor tiles
Choosing from our extensive range of modern floor tiles is a great way to add some glamour to your kitchen. Our tiles are made from high quality materials and are available in a range of styles and colours, suitable for any interior style. Consider quality as one of the most important factors when choosing kitchen floor tiles. The kitchen is often a busy, high traffic area, and you want to ensure the tiles you choose will last a long time. Not all tiles are created equal! So while many tiles may look the same, the quality of the tile is often determined by the material they are made from.
Material matters
Kitchen floor tiles are a crucial part of your home, and choosing the right tile will ensure that the space is stylish and functional. We recommend porcelain tiles for your kitchen floor area as porcelain is more durable than ceramic. There are so many options to choose from, so selecting the tile you like which will withstand a busy kitchen shouldn’t be too difficult!
Whilst porcelain is extremely durable, there are other options available. Terrazzo stone is often selected for kitchen floors. Terrazzo is an extremely durable option, however as real terrazzo is porous, you will need to seal the terrazzo to avoid it discolouring or staining over time. Sealing isn’t too difficult, and we can certainly recommend and give you some advice regarding sealing your terrazzo.
If you don’t feel that you can maintain a real terrazzo floor, then we do have many terrazzo-inspired porcelain tiles to choose from. These look like real terrazzo, but being made from porcelain means you don’t need to seal it.
Shape and size can enhance your space
Large tiles can help to make a space feel bigger, while unique shapes like chevron or herringbone can be an interesting option to select for your home. We have a wide range of shapes and sizes to choose from, as well as the latest design in tiles from Italy and Spain. Choosing a larger format tile will mean you have less grout joints to keep clean! Large tiles generally look nicer and are a great modern option! We would recommend a 600×1200 size for your kitchen floor, or if you feel that is too big, then a 600×600 is also a good option
Most collections are available in a range of sizes, so if you fall in love with a specific style, you will have options as to what size to choose for your space.
Using multiple sizes in a French pattern is also a popular trend right now. Using two or three sizes of the same colour and collection together can give you a modern farmhouse look. Our Chateau collection is perfect for this look, and this range is actually made to use in this particular style.
